Flaxseed and Diet Linked to Reduced Rheumatoid Arthritis Symptoms

In this video Fort Bragg Chiropractor Dr. Micah Ries discusses:

Can flaxseed combined with an anti-inflammatory diet reduce rheumatoid arthritis symptoms?

Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune and inflammatory disease, that causes joint damage and disability, and affects 1.3 million Americans.

A new 12-week study examined if flaxseed combined with an anti-inflammatory diet can reduce symptoms and improve quality of life in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.

Flaxseed is rich in anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids which likely contributed to reducing inflammatory symptoms.

The anti-inflammatory diet emphasized fruits, vegetables, and whole grains and excluded processed foods and red meat.
